LAWN CARE AND RE-SODDING IN TORONTO
Sometimes we find that we can rescue your surviving lawn by repairing your existing irrigation system so that the sprinklers or drip and spray heads can regularly water your grass again and it has a chance to recover.
But in many cases where we are called in to install a new irrigation and sprinkler system we find that the grass is in rough shape to begin with.
In these circumstances we find that re-sodding your lawn is the most effective and efficient way to create that glorious green expanse that you are looking for.
OUR RE-SODDING PROCESS
First we remove the old sod so that we can easily and strategically install the vinyl irrigation piping and sprinklers where they will effectively reach all parts of your grass. Then we put down a good layer of fertile new soil and finally comes the healthy new Kentucky Bluegrass sod planted on the top. We get our sod directly from the sod farm to ensure its quality and freshness.
Finally we switch on your new irrigation system and within just days you’ll find your new lawn readily starts to flourish and the first delicate green shoots of your healthy new grass will start to appear.
Thank you, Jen and Steve.
Thanks for the clean and tidy job I can’t even tell that you were here. It really looks great.
We went away for two weeks and the grass is so green, my husband is so happy with the sprinkler system, you have saved him a lot of work. Thank you so much.

It is amazing to see those sprinklers rise up from the ground, it is a pleasure not dragging the hose all over the yard. Your men were very professional and we are very pleased. Take care.

Thanks for all of the work you guys did, the grass and perennials are growing like never before, it really is a great system to have. We can actually go away for a weekend without coming back to brown grass. We will definitely recommend you to our friends, good luck.
Pleasure working with you guys, we are very pleased with your staff, they were very pleasant while working at our home. The lights have really made a big difference, I gave a few of our neighbours your phone number, they were really impressed with your work. Thanks again
To Northern Rainmakers thanks for the great work, we are so happy to have our lawn watered without worrying about it. Our grass has never been so green before. Thanks again.

To date, this is one of the best, if not the best, experiences we’ve had with any residential contractor. Jamie (the owner) was extremely knowlegeable and punctual and although the system he recommended to us was slightly more expensive than the lowest quote we received (around 10%), it was much more elaborate. Jamie took the time to review the layout of the trees and plants in the backyard in great detail, which is not what the other two contractors did. We also had to make a few minor changes within the first few weeks as a result of some changes in the backyard and he was nice enough to make the changes at no charge – which is pretty much unheard of these days. I would highly recommend Northern Rainmakers for your irrigation needs and that’s exactly what we were told after contacting a few references.

We had Northern Rainmakers (NRs) install an irrigation system for our front and back yard, as well as replace the sod. Jaime and his team did a fantastic job! I had several other (highly rated) companies come in to provide quotes and not only was NRs the most reasonable but Jaime took the time to explain all aspects of the job (layout, materials, connections, etc). Other companies did not go this extra mile. Anyways, I would definitely recommend this company to others.

Jaimie and his team showed up as planned and got our system (which is not small) running after we performed massive landscaping work. They really went out of their way to get it right, coming back twice to adjust sprinklers after we planted in the landscaped area and the ‘lay of the land’ changed. We were only too happy to have them handle the opening/closing activities each year. We feel lucky to have found Northern Rainmakers.

ADVANTAGES OF KENTUCKY BLUEGRASS
We generally use Kentucky Bluegrass to re-sod your lawns because it is extremely drought resistant and will quickly regenerate once it is watered.
Kentucky Bluegrass is a very popular species of cool-season lawn grass that is ideal for the Toronto area thanks to its aggressive growing mechanism which, at the first signs of water, enables it to quickly generate an extensive underground system of rhizomes (growing stems) that rapidly spread to damaged areas so that your lawn soon self-repairs.
This means that you’ll probably never have to reseed and that even if at some point in the future you lawn is once again drought-afflicted it will probably quickly recover once you get the water situation resolved.
HOW TO MAINTAIN YOUR TORONTO LAWN
Lawns need at least a couple of inches of water every week if they are to thrive and provide the glorious green expanse of healthy grass that you are looking for.
This is particularly important in summer when lack of rainfall can quickly dry up your lawn leaving it looking dead and unattractive.
This is why artificial irrigation is so important for keeping your grass looking verdant and green. Northern Lights and Rainmakers Inc. manual and automatic irrigation installations will enable you to maintain your garden, landscapes and yards to keep them looking verdant and healthy throughout the year.
Besides competitive installation, maintenance and repair prices, we also install the most water efficient irrigation systems available so that your outdoor areas can thrive while keeping your water and energy bills to the minimum.
